The Good Sams co-curricular Dance and Acrobatics programs cater for a variety of student abilities, from the beginner to advanced student. The programs include technical and strength training as well as performance and choreographic skills. Most importantly, we aim to instil a love of dance and acrobatics through a supportive, safe, and fun environment.
Prep and Year 1 Dance Troupes
A fun and supportive dance class where we explore movement and creativity, whilst building confidence and making new friends. Performance opportunities throughout the year include assembly performances as well as a starring role at the Pulse Arts Festival.
Year 2-3 Dance Troupe
Open to all Year 2 and 3 students who love to dance! Come along and have fun learning a variety of moves to the latest music. A lovely way to build confidence and make new friends. Performance opportunities throughout the year will include assembly performances as well as a starring role at the Pulse Arts Festival.
Dance Performance Troupes
The Dance Performance Troupe program is open to students who demonstrate commitment, an eagerness to learn and a passion for dance. Students will learn a variety of dance styles including Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Contemporary, and develop their performance skills through a variety of school and community performance opportunities. Students will represent the College at Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod and Dance X Competition.

Ignite Acrobatics Troupe
The Ignite Acrobatics Troupe is open to students in Years 3-6 who demonstrate the strength, technical ability and dedication required to participate in acrobatic performance. Students will be selected for this team through an audition process and current experience in dance, acrobatics or gymnastics is highly recommended. Students will perform at school events as well as represent the College at the Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod and Dance X Competition.
Extreme Acrobatics Troupe
The Extreme Acrobatics Troupe is an elite program on offer to our best acrobats from Years 4-11. Students must demonstrate a high level of strength and technical ability appropriate to their age, as well as show an outstanding level of commitment to their practice. Students will be selected for this team through an audition process. Current experience in dance, acrobatics or gymnastics is highly recommended. Students will perform at school events as well as represent the College at the Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod and Dance X Competition.
